Iterative bits
(2009-06-28 16:49)
Finished putting the iterative instructions in front of the wife. How she puts up with me, I'll never know. Although, if a pregnant luddite can follow it I think I've passed the basic requirement level for legibility.
I also went back and spruced up the switch statement section a little. It's only a tweak of a couple of paragraphs.
The site has a HTTP handler to deliver XML to search engines so Google seems to be acknowledging Screebo.
I have written the logic layer to handle comments on this blog. I just need to make the UI. That will need a bit of CAPTCHA in it. I know this site isn't exactly Facebook but it's worth putting in early and I have a plan for a type of captcha that isn't the old mangled bit of text. I'm toying with making images with stickmen and other simple drawings and the questions will be simple things like "How many stick men are there?" or "How many flowers to the left of the bucket?". We shall see.
The next section I am writing is going to be about Arrays and Collections. However, I am finally grading to my brown belt for Kung Fu next weekend so any updates I make will be threaded around my training and general levels of energy. Couple that with an impending 2 week holiday straight afterwards and this may be my last update for the best part of a month.
I'm sure you'll all miss me.
