Holiday ideas

So I've got web access for a moment. I thought I'd drop a note. The new lessons are going very well and I have a few ideas for additions to the site as well.

I am looking to add a MicroSoft style feedback and rate tool. Something that can be added to the base of each lesson, I'm thinking as a rather sexy popup. Rating will only be counted if has some intelligent feedback attached to it. Rating it as zero and saying "You suck" will be removed of course. The end goal is for me to tweak the wording and text so it is as readable and useful as possible.

As I progress through the lessons, I'm hoping to spark people writing their own bits of code. A compiling error is the biggest turn off to new starters and can be so frustrating so as to completely put them off. For this reason, I'm going to install an compiler error list knowledge base. It will be indexed for searching and have URLs to external references. Let me know what you think.

RSS feeds for these blogs and lessons is possibly a good idea too. Although I have heard good things about atom feeds aswell.

I have already placed a few lessons into the system. I've not approved them for display just yet as I need to upload the projects etc. for them which is something I can't do from my humble laptop. That'll teach me to save my passwords on my desktop. I return to the UK in just over a week so I plan to have 6 or 7 new lessons out then.

Thanks for reading.
