The Author

My name is Jamie Davis, I am a twenty-something coder from the UK. I work full time as a web coder for a smallish software house. I enjoy kung fu, reading and my family life. I swear I spend a maximum of an hour a day sitting in my study mouth-breathing.

In order to gain experience in my early career, I chose to change employers around every twelve months for the first few years. I have had the privelege to work on some terrific projects and under some excellent mentors. I have also had exposure to multiple work environments allowing me to see the coding process through many management viewpoints. While, in this current job market, I can't really recommend it today I would advocate it for the future in all new coders. Consider it the equivalent of getting a well-rounded personality through travelling.
